Clare is an exceptional therapist, and working with her has been life-changing for me. Her delicately balanced approach of pragmatic, practical techniques, thoughtfully chosen therapeutic modalities, and genuine, authentic connection creates a safe space where I’ve been able to grow, explore, be vulnerable, curious and brave enough to implement change - all of which make her a uniquely skilled and compassionate clinician. She is highly intuitive and adapts effortlessly to how I’m feeling throughout our sessions, ensuring that my needs are met and that I always feel safe and held, and is always holding my goals at the heart of her work. Everything Clare implements in my care is carefully thought through and tailored specifically to me as an individual, which makes me feel truly seen and understood and reflects her abundance of expertise and knowledge. Clare provides unwavering support while never underestimating the struggles of recovery and she celebrates every win with me along the way. I feel extremely privileged to work with Clare - she has given me hope for a life beyond my eating disorder and thanks to her, my dream of one day becoming a mum now feels possible.
Clare is always straight with me, I like that about her. She is comforting and supportive but also unafraid to give food for thought and different perspectives. She’ll never end a session without saying “I’m sending you a big hug”, leaving that last impression that i am valued and safe. I still have a long way to go but I know I she will help me get there. I’ll be hearing her Scottish voice of wisdom long after I’ve left I’m sure. Thank you
Before working with Clare, I never realised how much my eating disorder is based of experiences I had never actually addressed or even considered. Clare has given me the room to process and validate things I never allowed myself to. This release of pent-up feelings has allowed me to approach myself with far more compassion, because I now understand the origins of so many of my behaviours and patterns. She allows me to actually experience my emotions, even if they aren’t the ‘correct’ way to think. I don’t have to feel guilty for being judgmental or unreasonable or angry. Everything I talk about is met with empathy and without judgement. She is so easy to talk to and makes me feel extremely validated in my feelings. Perhaps the most difficult part of living with an eating disorder, for me, was the overwhelming guilt—and the isolation that came from being unable to share those feelings with the people closest to me. I carry deep shame and a sense of disgust toward myself. Clare is helping me understand that eating disorders are not a personal failure, but rather my brain’s attempt to protect me from overwhelming pain and emotion. It has allowed me to begin forgiving myself for things I’ve blamed myself for over many years. I am very grateful.

Clare is amazing! Her caring, compassionate and can do attitude helps you through the difficult times that recovery can bring. She has the ability to make you feel held and heard whilst still encouraging you to fight for the recovery you want. Her vast experience and expertise allow her to find the best way to work with you as an individual. She meets you where you are and is versatile in her approach which means you feel like she is working with you to get the best results for you. She genuinely cares for her patients, and has the ability to always make you smile even in the toughest times, which is pretty special.
Clare is a wonderful therapist and always does her best to find a way to support you. If you don’t quite get on with one way of working, she will think of another way. Working with Clare on my recovery journey has been incredibly helpful. She always makes me feel seen, heard and supported. She often knows, even without me saying if I’m finding something hard. She can pick up on even the smallest of things and will find a way to help you feel able to open up. Clare is extremely experienced in her role, with multiple different therapeutic tools in her box. I feel extremely lucky to be able to have therapy with Clare, and know that anyone who is able to work with her should because she really is an invaluable part of my journey.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a heartfelt and articulate review, it means so much to me and I am so grateful to know and walk alongside you, Cx
Clare really gets me. She is a good listener, very insightful and knowledgeable. Her empathy shines through and she is able to get to the heart of issues that I talk about.

A huge, heartfelt thank you for allowing me to walk alongside you and for such genuine words. C
I had such a good experience with Clare. She made me feel very comfortable from the beginning and created a non-judgemental environment in which I could bring anything to session.
Clare demonstrates a wealth of knowledge, understanding and expertise in the field of eating disorders. She draws upon years of experience to provide first class person centre therapy. Clare is one of the most transparent individuals I have come across, I respond very well to her approach and have established an incredibly strong attachment with her. Trust is a huge word when you have suffered extensive trauma and have attachment/abandonment issues, yet I can only whole heartedly say I trust Clare. The work I have done with Clare has played such an important part in my recovery journey…I have so much more self awareness and understanding than I have ever had. Clare encourages me to be curious in recovery, whilst also acknowledging the challenges but also my accomplishments along the way. Clare plays not only an important role in my recovery, but in my life as a whole. It is very clear TEDS is not just a job to Clare. The world needs more Clare’s!!! 🌟🌟🌟

Thank you so much for taking the time to compose such a thoughtful, articulate and kind review...I feel so grateful to walk alongside you in recovery, Clare
Clare is passionate about TEDS and her clients. She is an excellent listener and has helped me to challenge myself to make changes which have had a long lasting effect on my health and recovery. Clare's approach puts me, and I am sure her other clients, instantly at ease, with her easy to get on with and warm nature.

I am super grateful that you feel at ease with our work together and feel supported to move through to your own version of recovery, thank you, C
As behavioural specialist Clare helped me hold myself accountable and start to make positive changes in my life. Regardless of how difficult the issue to discuss, through Clare's approach of compassion and humour was just the combination needed for me to explore difficult behaviours and take steps to change my unhelpful behaviours to ones that have now got me leading a less anxious and worried life. There's still lots of work to do but with Clare's skil and compassion, I can see a positive future for myself. In terms of development, while I really appreciate the role humour plays in our sessions, Clare's humour is more of the east coast Scottish variety which is, by nature, inferior to west coast humour, so improvements could be made there to enhance the service further. Something to consider for a PDP at least!

Thank you for taking the time to construct a detailed and warm review. I am glad that within the dark times, you feel that we can use warm humour within the therapeutic relationship! C
