Dr. Claire Phipps is a General Practitioner (GP) and an Advanced Menopause Specialist and Trainer affiliated with the British Menopause Society (BMS). She received her medical education from Guy's Kings and St Thomas's medical school and currently practises as a GP in London. Dr. Phipps has completed specialised training to enhance her expertise in menopause care, including the completion of courses offered by the British Menopause Society and the International Menopause Society. Additionally, she is working towards advanced certification in this field and is training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to better support women experiencing menopause-related challenges.

Passionate about post-reproductive healthcare and the menopause, Dr. Phipps is dedicated to improving information and care in this area, empowering women to make informed decisions about their health. She collaborates with Newson Health, an organisation focused on women's health, to further her mission. Dr. Phipps also has a strong interest in teaching and training and serves as a GP Trainer and Mentor. She is committed to ensuring that new GPs are educated on the latest evidence-based practices for perimenopause and menopause care.

In her clinical practice, Dr. Phipps is highly empathetic to the challenges faced during menopause, and prioritises providing accurate information and timely treatment. She believes that while menopause is a period of significant change and emotional transition, it can also be a time of reflection, inspiration, and personal growth. She specialises in long-term health conditions and advocates for viewing menopause as such. By empowering women to consider menopause as a long-term condition, she aims to not only alleviate present symptoms but also help them lead long, healthy, and fulfilling lives in the future.

Dr. Phipps recognises that adverse life experiences may resurface during menopause, as a woman's nervous system responds to hormonal fluctuations.
