Dr Christopher Mcaloon

Dr Christopher McAloon is a highly qualified Consultant Cardiologist who provides comprehensive cardiovascular care for individuals presenting with symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, and dizziness. Dedicated to delivering patient-focused and evidence-based care, he works closely with individuals to thoroughly evaluate heart symptoms, establish accurate diagnoses, and tailor personalised management plans designed to optimise long-term cardiovascular health.

Dr McAloon completed his primary medical degree (MBChB) at the University of Birmingham in 2007. Following his foundational and core medical training, he earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education (PGCME) from Cardiff University and completed a PhD focused on cardiac resynchronisation therapy and heart failure at the University of Warwick. He holds Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and maintains active professional memberships with the British Medical Association, the Medical Defence Union, the British Cardiovascular Society, and the British Society of Echocardiography.

With advanced expertise in cardiac imaging, Dr McAloon specialises in diagnostic modalities including transthoracic, transoesophageal, and stress echocardiography, as well as cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and cardiac computerised tomography (CT). His key clinical interests encompass general adult cardiology, heart failure, valvular heart disease, ischaemic heart disease, cardio-oncology, and cardiomyopathy. Through precise diagnostic imaging and holistic clinical management, Dr McAloon aims to provide patients with clear answers and reassuring, effective guidance throughout their care journey.
