I have been very impressed with all the help, advice and support from Mr Jack, Sally and team from start to finish. Having a big operation like a hip operation is very daunting and scary once you are advised its required. Sally is always helpful and extremely professional and Mr Jack's manner, support and techniques are literally life changing, he has made a difference to my life. So much so I have referred 2 friends to him and the admin team for a consultation as they have not been supported or listened to by other surgeons. Mr Jack truly has a gift, it's a shame everyone with orthopedic issues are not able to use his services. The whole team including the aneathetist should be congratulated. I ended up going private as the NHS withdrew my funding and I had to find the money as could not carry on as I was but I also decided to paid, because I didn't want to have anyone else operate on me. Thank you for your help, guidance and exceptional skills. I truly believe I can start to enjoy my life again.

Finally, a doctor/surgeon with a human face! Mr Jack is empathic, excellent at finding ways to put patients at ease, and takes the time to explain things clearly, and allay fears about any necessary surgical procedures. He has the rare ability to make you feel that he really cares about you as a human being, and achieving the best outcome for every individual. A rare skill. In addition, he is a very skilled and experienced surgeon, having worked with one of the top Orthopaedic Surgeons in Australia, focusing on younger patients engaged in active, professional competitive sports. When I first had a consultation with him, I was extremely worried, due some rather "tricky" health issues. He was was completely unfazed by these problems, which have me confidence, and was a huge relief to me on a personal level. I can only say, if you need a total hip or knee replacement, consider yourself extremely fortunate if Mr Jack is your surgeon. Finally my "qualifications" for submitting such a glowing recommendation - over 30 years as a qualified State Registered Nurse/State Certified Midwife for the NHS (RAF trained). From the first consultation with Mr Jack in October 2024 I had the upmost confidence in him. Although it was a short consultation he was thorough in his diagnosis, explanations and proposed action. He listened to my concerns, showed empathy and had a good sense of humour. My only non positive experience was on the morning of the operation that I heard from the anaesthetist that I was to have the procedure under a spinal anaesthetic. This was the first time that I had “heard” this. My husband and I cannot recall it being mentioned on the first consultation and I do not remember seeing it being identified in the pre operative information. The procedure was excellent and I would not have any hesitation of undergoing the same again and I believe it aided my quick recovery. In my post operative consultation Mr Jack also addressed problems that I was experiencing with my knee on the operated leg and was able to reassure me that it was to be expected, was not a problem and would return to normal- which it has. I would like to thank Mr Jack for his skill and expertise in helping me to regain my quality of life. I have already recommended Mr Jack to acquaintances who are facing hip replacements.

Mr Jack is straightforward and plain speaking, while also good at listening and responding to queries. He has an air of sympathetic confidence which is most reassuring for his patients. My surgery went very well and my recovery has been better than I had expected. Highly recommended.

I had a total hip replacement in April 2025 at the Spire Southampton under the NHS. I had to wait about 6 months which was good. My operation went smoothly and I was advised to do the physio daily to get back to do my gardening. By 6 weeks I could drive my car and by 12 weeks I was totally recovered . My last appointment I was only in the room for less than 2 minutes. Mr Jack was happy with my hip operation. The only thing I would say if he could ask if I had any questions.

I went into hospital for a hip replacement on day one and was out on day three. I was treated excellently pre and post operation by Mr Jack and his team. The results were great and I’ve had no problems with the replacement. I would give Mr Jack and everyone in his team a score of ten out of ten.

Following as call into Mr Jack's office an appointment was made for me that same day. Mr Jack put me at ease immediately with his expertise, wit and humour. I was sent for an MRI scan and I was seen with my results within 5 days, a very positive experience!
