Dr Christine Pierce

Dr Christine Pierce is an esteemed Consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Intensive Care Consultant who specialises in the management of critically ill infants, children, and young people. With a profound commitment to high-quality patient care, she provides compassionate and comprehensive medical support to young patients facing severe, complex, and life-threatening conditions. Dr Pierce works alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver precise clinical interventions while supporting and reassuring families during exceptionally challenging circumstances.

Her main areas of clinical focus encompass Paediatric Intensive Care and Neonatal Intensive Care, with specialised expertise in complex respiratory and cardiovascular conditions. Dr Pierce possesses particular expertise in persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn, hypoxic respiratory failure, and the clinical management of non-accidental injury. Additionally, she is deeply involved in evaluating and mitigating the physical, psychological, and neurodevelopmental morbidity associated with intensive care admissions.
