Dr Chloe Broughton

Dr Chloe Broughton is a highly accomplished Consultant Endocrinologist who specialises in endocrinology, diabetes, and general internal medicine. With a patient-centred approach, she is dedicated to diagnosing and managing a wide range of endocrine disorders and metabolic conditions. Dr Broughton serves as a Co-Clinical Lead in her specialty, demonstrating strong clinical leadership and a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to all her patients.

Her clinical expertise spans all aspects of diabetes and endocrinology, with a particular interest in the management of diabetes in pregnancy. Dr Broughton is passionate about pre-conception planning, antenatal care, and postnatal support for women with pre-existing or gestational diabetes, helping to optimise glucose control and reduce risks for both mother and baby. Additionally, she has extensive experience in managing thyroid diseases, including hyperthyroidism and primary hyperparathyroidism, as well as complex electrolyte imbalances such as hyponatraemia.

Dr Broughton obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree and subsequently achieved Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK). She is an active Member of the Royal College of Physicians and has contributed significantly to medical education, having previously served as a Trainee Representative on the MRCP UK Management and Policy Board. Alongside her clinical practice, she is involved in clinical research and service development, with published work focusing on diabetes management during pregnancy and improving protocols for post-operative endocrine care.
