Dr Charles Johnson

Dr Charles Johnson is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon and General Surgeon dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality clinical care to his patients. He offers comprehensive evaluation and surgical management across a broad range of general and lower gastrointestinal conditions. Prioritising patient comfort and clear communication, Dr Johnson works collaboratively with individuals to ensure they are fully supported and informed throughout their treatment plan.

His clinical focus encompasses emergency general surgery, advanced surgical oncology, and complex colorectal disorders. Dr Johnson has a specialist interest in minimally invasive techniques, including robotic surgical procedures for colorectal cancers and inflammatory bowel disease. He regularly performs general surgical procedures such as hernia repairs, diagnostic endoscopy, and treatments for perianal conditions including haemorrhoids, anal fistulae, and anal fissures.

Dr Johnson began his postgraduate surgical pathway with a three-year training programme in India specialising in complex surgical oncology, including pelvic exenteration and recurrent rectal cancer operations. He gained further international experience in Dubai before completing higher surgical training in emergency general surgery and colorectal surgery in England. He subsequently completed a Royal College of Surgeons Fellowship in robotic colorectal surgery. In addition to his clinical training, Dr Johnson holds a Master's degree in Strategic Leadership in Public Services and remains actively engaged in medical education, research, and trainee supervision.
