Dr Chandrakala Ganapathy

Dr Chandrakala Ganapathy is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist whose career is defined by an international breadth of experience across the UK, India, and the Middle East. Since qualifying in 1998, she has developed a practice focused on supporting women through every stage of life, from adolescence to post-menopause. Currently serving as a senior consultant within the NHS, she holds a prominent leadership position dedicated to specialised hormonal health.

She is particularly noted for her expertise in managing benign gynaecological conditions and complex hormonal transitions. She is the Clinical Lead for the Menopause and HRT service at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals, where she leads specialist care for women experiencing menopausal symptoms and requiring hormone replacement therapy. Beyond hormonal health, she provides comprehensive care for structural and symptomatic concerns such as fibroids, pelvic pain, and menstrual irregularities.

Dr Ganapathy is also highly skilled in diagnostic procedures that are essential for early intervention and screening. Her clinical expertise includes diagnostic colposcopy, alongside the assessment and management of vulval disorders and other gynaecological conditions.
