Dr. Cemil Izgi

Dr. Cemil Izgi is an esteemed Consultant Cardiologist who provides comprehensive care for patients presenting with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. Specialising in non-invasive cardiac imaging and diagnostic assessment, he is dedicated to delivering personalised, reassuring, and patient-centred care. Dr. Izgi graduated from Hacettepe University Medical School in 2000, obtaining his primary medical degree before completing higher specialist training in Cardiology in 2005. He holds Level 3 certification in Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, representing the highest tier of competence in advanced cardiac imaging. Dr. Izgi is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and an Inaugural Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance. Additionally, he maintains active professional memberships with the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging and the Turkish Society of Cardiology.

In his clinical practice, Dr. Izgi focuses on the investigation and management of complex heart and vascular conditions. His primary areas of clinical interest include coronary artery disease, aortic disease, valvular heart disease, heart failure, myocarditis, and various cardiomyopathies. Utilising advanced diagnostic modalities, such as Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance imaging, echocardiography, and stress cardiac imaging, Dr. Izgi thoroughly evaluates heart structure and function to guide both interventional and non-invasive treatment strategies.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr. Izgi serves as an Associate Professor and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer, actively contributing to medical education and clinical research in cardiology.
