Dr Catherine McDougall

Dr Catherine McDougall is an accomplished Consultant Paediatrician with extensive expertise in paediatric respiratory medicine and paediatric intensive care medicine. She serves as a Clinical Lead for paediatric long-term ventilation, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to delivering high-quality clinical care to infants, children, and young people facing complex respiratory and critical illness conditions. Known for her professional, objective, and reassuring approach, Dr McDougall works closely with young patients and their families to ensure comprehensive and supportive treatment plans tailored to each child's individual needs.

Dr McDougall completed her academic and research training at the University of Aberdeen, where she earned a PhD in airway epithelial cell biology. She subsequently undertook specialist clinical training across a range of renowned medical centres in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Vancouver, and London.
