Dr Catherine Bevan

Dr Catherine Bevan is a highly regarded Consultant Paediatrician who specialises in paediatric emergency medicine and paediatric trauma. With a career dedicated to the care of children and young people, she provides expert, compassionate, and reassuring medical support to families during critical times. As a Clinical Director and Clinical Lead for paediatrics, Dr Bevan is committed to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.

Her clinical interests lie at the intersection of emergency care and acute paediatrics. Dr Bevan has been actively involved in clinical research, contributing to studies on paediatric trauma, head injuries, and the management of paediatric convulsive status epilepticus. Her work also extends to improving diagnostic and procedural techniques in emergency settings, such as the use of ultrasound-assisted procedures, ensuring that young patients receive the most advanced and minimally distressing care possible.

Dr Bevan obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and subsequently completed extensive postgraduate training. She holds a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) qualification in the United Kingdom and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), reflecting her international training and expertise. She has been registered with the General Medical Council since 1992.
