Dr Camilla Kingdon

Dr Camilla Kingdon is an esteemed Consultant Paediatrician and Consultant Neonatologist who specialises in the care of newborn infants and children. With an extensive background in child health, Dr Kingdon provides expert clinical care focusing on complex neonatal conditions, neurodevelopmental monitoring, and overall paediatric well-being. Her compassionate and patient-centred approach ensures that families receive thoughtful guidance and reassuring support throughout every stage of their child's medical journey.

Dr Kingdon completed her primary medical degree (MBChB) at the University of Cape Town in 1989. She subsequently undertook specialist postgraduate training in paediatrics, obtaining Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH). Demonstrating a commitment to medical training and professional development, she later earned a Master of Arts in Managing Medical Careers from the University of Brighton in 2013. Dr Kingdon has held notable leadership positions within the medical community, including serving as President of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.

Within her clinical practice, Dr Kingdon holds a sub-specialty interest in neonatal nutrition, infant feeding, and donor milk banking. She was instrumental in establishing human donor milk bank services to support vulnerable neonates and has contributed to the development of national clinical guidelines in this area. Additionally, her work encompasses the long-term neurodevelopmental follow-up of high-risk neonates, advocating for high-quality care that optimises health outcomes for young patients.
