Dr Borislav Yanchovski

Dr Borislav Yanchovski is a Consultant Anaesthetist with extensive experience in anaesthesia, perioperative medicine and the management of patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures.

He graduated in Medicine from the Medical University of Sofia, Bulgaria, and completed his specialist training in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care in 2016.

His clinical practice covers a broad range of surgical specialties, with particular interests in orthopaedic surgery, general surgery and urology. He has a strong interest in regional anaesthesia and nerve blocks, as well as postoperative pain management, with the aim of improving comfort, reducing pain after surgery and supporting a smoother recovery.

Dr Yanchovski also has a particular interest in preoperative assessment and optimisation. He believes that careful evaluation before surgery is an essential part of safe anaesthetic care, particularly for patients with complex medical conditions. His approach focuses on identifying and managing potential risks in advance, discussing the available anaesthetic options and tailoring the perioperative plan to each individual patient.

He places great importance on clear communication and understands that many patients feel anxious about anaesthesia and surgery. He takes time to explain what to expect, answer questions and ensure that patients feel informed and reassured throughout their surgical journey.

Dr Yanchovski currently practises at Chaucer Hospital, Spencer Private Hospital and One Ashford Hospital, working closely with surgical and nursing teams to provide safe, individualised and high-quality perioperative care.
