Dr Benedict Wiles

Dr Wiles is an expert in managing patients with Heart Rhythm Disorders. They are trained in cardiac catheter ablation, an invasive treatment option for patients with atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, SVT, ectopics and ventricular tachycardia. Dr Wiles is also accredited in Cardiac Devices; implanting loop recorders, pacemakers and defibrillators.

Dr Wiles is the only implanter of leadless pacemakers and subcutaneous ICDs in the North of Scotland.

Dr Wiles qualified in 2008, having studied at both the University of Cambridge and Imperial College School of Medicine. They trained in Cardiology across Wessex, undertaking dedicated Electrophysiology Fellowships in Bournemouth and Southampton. On completing their training in 2020, they were appointed to the prestigious role of AVATAR Fellow at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London.
