Dr. Bence Atkari

Dr. Bence Atkari is a highly accomplished Consultant General Surgeon who specialises in Upper Gastrointestinal and Laparoscopic Surgery. With a clinical focus on diagnosing and treating a wide range of surgical conditions, Dr. Atkari is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. His clinical interests encompass advanced laparoscopic techniques, Minimally Invasive Surgery, and Gastrointestinal Surgery, ensuring that patients benefit from modern, evidence-based surgical interventions.

Dr. Atkari obtained his medical qualification from Indira Gandhi Medical College in Shimla, India, in 1985. He subsequently undertook extensive higher surgical training at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, India, completing this in 1993. In 1994, he achieved his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in General Surgery. He is registered on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council. Dr. Atkari maintains active professional memberships with several prestigious organisations, including the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland, the European Society of Coloproctology, and the British Medical Association.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Atkari is deeply committed to medical education and the training of future medical professionals. He serves as an Honorary Lecturer and an Examiner for the Intercollegiate Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS). He is also actively involved in teaching Junior Doctors and Medical Students, sharing his expertise in General and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery.
