Dr Ben Reynolds

Dr Ben Reynolds is an accomplished Consultant Paediatrician and Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist who provides comprehensive, compassionate care for infants, children, and young people. He specialises in managing a broad spectrum of general paediatric health concerns alongside complex childhood kidney conditions. His clinical philosophy focuses on delivering supportive, family-centred care that prioritises both the physical health and emotional well-being of his young patients.

Dr Reynolds completed his undergraduate medical education at the University of Edinburgh, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) with Honours in 2002. Demonstrating a strong commitment to medical science, he subsequently completed a PhD examining regulatory T cell mechanisms. He actively contributes to professional organisations, serving as Research Secretary for the British Association for Paediatric Nephrology and engaging with clinical studies groups within the UK Kidney Association.

In his clinical practice, Dr Reynolds manages conditions such as chronic kidney disease, congenital nephrotic syndrome, focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, nephrocalcinosis, and paediatric hypertension. His areas of clinical focus encompass kidney transplantation, transplant immunology, adolescent healthcare transition, and both home and hospital-based dialysis. Alongside his specialist clinical work, Dr Reynolds holds an academic position as an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer, contributing to medical education and leading innovative research programmes designed to enhance patient engagement and treatment outcomes.
