Dr. Barbara Carey immediately made me feel at ease. She was easy to speak to, she listened to me and my concerns and was very thorough in her explanation of everything.

First meeting g has been great. Very proactive, caring and professional.

Dr Carey is one of those special doctors who combine thorough knowledge and expertise in her field, together with a compassionate “bedside” manner. At every stage of my recent investigations I was given full information, a recommendation while clearly indicating the choice was mine. I felt supported and empowered at all times. I highly recommend her.

Dr Carey was extremely knowledgeable and explained in easy terms my medical condition. She ensured I got the correct diagnosis and future card for a long term condition

My experience with Dr. Carey has been very pleasant. To start off, I have been suffering with extensive lesions and was finding it extremely difficult to get any appointment slots with oral surgeons. When Prof. Kathleen Fan recommended I see Dr. Carey, I rang her PA, Lina, who was extremely helpful and polite and ensured I was able to see Dr. Carey as soon as possible, despite there being no immediate slots available. Dr. Carey listened to me with empathy and patience. What was particularly reassuring for me was that she assured me if I have any health issues I can reach out to her anytime and they will get back to me at the earliest, which is rare considering how challenging it is to get any immediate medical help during the weekend. Overall, a very pleasant experience with both Dr. Carey and her PA, Lina.

Dr Carey was kind empathetic and relaxed which put me at ease straight away. I'd been having problems on and off for years and seen various GP's and consultants but not been given much guidance or any proper treatment plan. It was such a relief to see Dr Carey, she was very quickly able to give me explanations of two possible diagnosis and she went through it all very thoroughly with me. She also gave me a treatment plan. I felt for the first time in a long time I was finally getting some answers and i'm hugely grateful for her knowledge and experience. I'm so glad I went to see her.

I need to mention Dr Barbara Carey and Lina, as they make a formidable team. It is nerve racking making the unknown step asking for help for an area that as a family you feel vulnerable around. Lina and Dr Carey managed to find a space for us to quickly help us. Lina was on top of everything I asked. For example I sent on information ahead of this quickly scheduled appointment and she told me that Dr Carey has already read what I sent upfront. I was reassured by the level of diligence and caring from both of them. In the appointment, Dr Carey was listened, was caring, honest and was genuinely trying to help us.
