Dr Asterios Dramis

Dr Asterios Dramis is a Fellowship-trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee disorders. Dedicated to restoring patient mobility and alleviating joint pain, he focuses on advanced lower limb joint reconstruction, including both primary and complex revision procedures. Dr Dramis combines surgical precision with a compassionate, patient-centred approach, ensuring that individuals receive personalised treatment plans tailored to their functional goals and lifestyle needs.

Dr Dramis qualified as a doctor from the University of Southampton in 1999. He subsequently completed extensive higher surgical training across major surgical centres in Birmingham, Greater Manchester, Oxford, and Cardiff. His academic and postgraduate qualifications include a Master of Science degree in Health Science and Practice from the University of Central Lancashire, a Postgraduate Certificate in Leading Clinical Innovation and Improving Performance from the University of Teesside, and a Doctorate of Medicine degree from the University of Thessaly. Dr Dramis earned the Diploma of Membership from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2003, followed by the Fellowship of the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology in 2009 and the Fellowship of the Intercollegiate Specialty Boards in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2010.

In his clinical practice, Dr Dramis offers comprehensive care for degenerative joint conditions and traumatic injuries, performing primary hip and knee replacements as well as revision surgeries for failing or painful joint implants. Alongside his clinical responsibilities, he serves as an Honorary Clinical Lecturer, taking an active role in teaching and mentoring undergraduate medical students. Dr Dramis is also a widely published researcher who regularly contributes to respected orthopaedic journals and presents at national and international medical conferences, reflecting his commitment to staying at the forefront of orthopaedic innovation and evidence-based care.
