Dr Ashutosh Sharma

Dr Ashutosh Sharma is a Consultant Respiratory Physician and Specialist in General (Internal) Medicine. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care for individuals experiencing a wide spectrum of acute and chronic respiratory conditions. With extensive clinical expertise, Dr Sharma focuses on thorough diagnostic evaluations and tailored management strategies, ensuring patients feel fully supported and informed throughout their treatment journey.

In his clinical practice, Dr Sharma possesses sub-specialty expertise in adult respiratory conditions, with a particular focus on interstitial lung disease (ILD). He routinely manages complex chest conditions, including lung cancer, general lung disease, and respiratory pathology. Additionally, Dr Sharma is skilled in advanced interventional pulmonology and diagnostic procedures, including flexible bronchoscopy, linear and radial endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), pleural procedures, indwelling pleural catheter placement, and rigid medical thoracoscopy.

Dr Sharma earned his medical degree (MBBS) from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences before completing foundational medical training in New Delhi. He subsequently relocated to the United Kingdom to undertake postgraduate training in Acute Internal Medicine in Edinburgh, followed by higher specialty training in Respiratory Medicine across London and Surrey, including advanced sub-specialty training at prestigious UK centres. Dr Sharma holds the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK), Specialty Certificate Examinations in both Respiratory Medicine and Acute Medicine, and a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Respiratory and General Internal Medicine.
