Dr Asantha Jayaweera is a dedicated Consultant Anaesthetist who provides compassionate, patient-centred perioperative care. Specialising in Anaesthetics, Dr Jayaweera is committed to ensuring patient safety, comfort, and wellbeing throughout every stage of the surgical journey. He works collaboratively alongside multidisciplinary surgical teams to formulate tailored anaesthetic plans designed to meet each individual patient's medical needs.

In his clinical practice, Dr Jayaweera has developed particular expertise in obstetric anaesthesia and orthopaedic anaesthesia, alongside general anaesthesia and perioperative medicine. He is highly skilled in administering ultrasound-guided regional anaesthetics, nerve blocks, and advanced pain control techniques to optimise patient comfort and facilitate a smooth recovery following surgery. Dr Jayaweera earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree alongside a Bachelor of Science with Honours [BSc (Hons)].
