About Dr Arul James
Dr Arul James is a highly experienced Consultant in Chronic Pain Medicine and Anaesthetics, with over nine years of practice across both the NHS and private sectors. Based in the Midlands, he currently sees NHS patients at George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton and provides private care at The Vesey Private Hospital in Sutton Coldfield, where he leads the Pain Management Service.
Dr James completed his medical degree (MBBS) at Pondicherry University in India in 2010. He is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA) and the Faculty of Pain Medicine (FFPMRCA), reflecting his specialist expertise. Since 2021, he has served as Clinical Lead in Chronic Pain Medicine, using a biopsychosocial approach to tailor treatments for a wide range of chronic pain conditions.

I was very pleased with the way I was treated by Dr A James and a Exerllent bed side manner I felt comfortable with Dr James. I was not well on the day and. Dr James rang me to have a telephone appointment so I did not miss my appointment being the first app.
Pleasant nursing Reception . Then a visit from Dr James .Given a clear description of Procedure , discussed alternatives . Give me detailed description and expected Outcome . Dr James is easy to talk to and made me feel less apprehensive about the Procedure . During Procedure he took time to stop and explain what he was about to do which was reassuring . At the end he had a discussion about my lifestyle and what to expect in the next days . Really delighted I saw Dr James for this. Thank you .
All was explained thoroughly, I was looked after very well by all staff.
The needles I have in my spine every 6 months gives me a better quality of life being pain free is absolutely amazing. I am very thankful.
