About Ms Arifa Siddika
Miss Arifa Siddika is a Consultant Colorectal and Hernia Surgeon based in London. She specialises in hernia surgery, fistulae-in-ano, and pelvic floor disorders, with extensive experience in both elective and emergency colorectal practice.
She has particular expertise in robotic and laparoscopic hernia surgery and provides comprehensive management of complex incisional and recurrent hernias, including abdominal wall reconstruction. Her approach focuses on minimally invasive techniques to support faster recovery and optimal outcomes where appropriate.
Miss Siddika also offers specialist care for complex fistulae-in-ano, including advanced minimally invasive proceduressuch as VAAFT and EPSiT, alongside conventional surgical treatments. Miss Siddika is an elected member of the Abdominal Wall Reconstruction Committee of the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland (ACPGBI). She is also faculty for Royal College of Surgeons courses and a peer reviewer for the Journal of Robotic Surgery.
She completed her specialist training in the East of England, followed by a prestigious fellowship at Nottingham University Hospital, where she subsequently worked as a consultant. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS).

Dr. Siddika is very professional, friendly, kind. Throughout the process from initial consultation to operational procedure, she is extremely caring. I was very concern at the beginning as I have had quite bad experience in the past. Her patient explanation and kindness already made me felt half relieved during the consultation. She is also very skilled and I hardly felt the pain just one week after the operation, which is really amazing. I highly recommend her and really appreciate her caring, kindness and professionalism.
I was seen as a post surgery patient. Dr Siddika, greeted me with a smile and in a friendly professional manner. She allayed my concerns about the possibility of the Hernia returning and that I would be able to get back to going to the gym. Dr Siddika showed respect for my modesty on examination of the surgery site. It was an overall positive experience.
I had a pleasant experience with Ms. Siddika from the initial consulation up until the post procedure follow-up. I had a colonoscopy with banding of hemorrhoids and felt minimal discomfort with only paracetamol needed for pain control afterwards. She was always calm and reassuring and had a great outcome post procedure. Highly recommended!
Ms Siddika was a fantastic practitioner. I was made to feel at ease and comfortable at all steps in the process. I would highly recommend Ms Siddika. I also think the whole team approach at hca with the physiotherapist team works really well.
