Dr Aparna Deshpande

I specialise in chest imaging which includes CT for assessment of airways disease, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer staging and follow up.

I have extensive experience and expertise in MRI imaging for cardiomyopathies, iron overload and ischaemia heart disease which includes stress adenosine MRI imaging. I am the lead for adult congenital heart imaging performing cardiac MRI and CT. I also have expertise in cardiac CT imaging for assessment for coronary artery disease and planning for TAVI procedure and aorta assessment. I also report myocardial perfusion imaging for investigation of ischaemia.

I have been a Consultant Radiologist with a specialist interest in cardiothoracic imaging since 2013.

I completed my radiology training in Leicester which was followed by a cardiothoracic imaging fellowship in Papworth and a further one-year fellowship in cardiac imaging in Toronto General Hospital, Canada.

I have Level 3 BSCI and SCCT accreditation for cardiac CT as well as Level 3 SCMR accreditation for cardiac MRI.
