Dr Anupam Paul

Dr Anupam Paul is a dedicated Consultant Rheumatologist who provides patient-centred, empathetic, and evidence-based care for individuals managing a wide range of rheumatological conditions. Recognising the fluctuating and complex nature of chronic joint and soft tissue disorders, he focuses on delivering early diagnostic assessments and structured treatment plans. His clinical approach emphasises safe, individualised care designed to empower patients to manage their long-term musculoskeletal health effectively.

With comprehensive expertise across general internal medicine and specialist rheumatology, Dr Paul has a particular clinical focus on early inflammatory arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, giant cell arteritis, and soft tissue rheumatism. He is highly skilled in using advanced diagnostic tools, including musculoskeletal ultrasonography, to evaluate complex joint and soft tissue problems and to perform guided therapeutic injections. Additionally, Dr Paul has been instrumental in establishing multidisciplinary therapy programmes, including structured patient education and care initiatives for individuals suffering from fibromyalgia.

Dr Paul completed his primary medical degree (MB BS) at the University of Delhi in 1994, where he subsequently obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in General Medicine. He completed his specialist training in Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine in the United Kingdom, receiving his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in 2011. Committed to clinical excellence and training, he holds a Master of Medical Education from the University of Warwick and was elected as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2015.
