Mr Anthony Noah

As a urologist with a national reputation in congenital urology and complex bladder reconstruction, Mr Noah treats patients with bladder exstrophy, posterior urethral valves and other complex congenital anomalies of the urinary tract. He is one of a small number of surgeons in the UK offering reconstructive surgery for adults born with these conditions, including revision surgery for patients who had procedures earlier in life.individual rather than a standard treatment path.

Mr. Noah trained in medicine at Guy's, King's and St Thomas' School of Medicine at King's College London, then completed surgical training across Birmingham and the West Midlands. He went on to complete subspecialty training in adolescent and reconstructive urology at University College London Hospital (UCLH), where he was appointed consultant.

His adolescent urology practice covers problems commonly seen in teenagers, including teenage incontinence, urinary tract infections, overactive bladder, lower urinary tract symptoms and bladder outflow obstruction in teenagers and young men. He also treats stress incontinence, urge incontinence and general bladder dysfunction in adults, along with benign prostatic enlargement.

Mr. Noah works within a multidisciplinary team caring for patients with differences of sexual development, also known as intersex conditions. He also manages urological problems in pregnancy and bladder problems in pregnancy, including complex deliveries for women with reconstructed urinary tracts and abnormally invasive placenta.

Patients see Mr. Noah for both routine and highly complex problems, from urinary tract infections to major reconstructive surgery for bladder exstrophy, posterior urethral valves, overactive bladder and urinary incontinence. He also sees many young men, young women, teenage boys and teenage girls with urinary symptoms (including bladder outflow obstruction and voiding dysfunction). His approach combines careful diagnosis with treatment tailored to each patient's age, history and goals, and he takes time to explain options so patients can make informed decisions.

Alongside his clinical work in functional urology, reconstructive urology, paediatric urology, and adolescent urology, Mr Noah trains resident doctors and participates in teaching and research across the wider urology community.

Outside of work, he can usually be found exercising. He is an avid football and Formula 1 fan.
