Mr Anthony Josephson

Mr. Anthony Josephson is a highly qualified and experienced optometrist known for his dedication to providing exceptional eye care. He undertook optometry training at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, followed by specialised training at BBR Optometry in Hereford.

After completing his qualifications, Mr. Josephson assumed the role of Clinical Resident Optometrist at Kathryn Stott Opticians, which is now part of the Bayfield family, where he remained for three years. During 2012-2013, he gained further experience as a Locum Optometrist for an independent practice.

In 2013, Mr. Josephson accepted the position of Resident Optometrist at Maskell + Associates, and in 2017, he took ownership of the practice. Over the course of his career, Mr. Josephson has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience. He takes pride in offering a top-quality level of service and care.

Mr. Josephson's clinical interests cover a wide range of areas, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, complex contact lenses, complex prescriptions, and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT). He also has specialised knowledge in myopia control. In 2022, he achieved accreditation as a community glaucoma clinician, serving as a triage between other optometrists and hospital care to determine whether patients require hospital services or not.
