Ms Anna Nelson

Anna Nelson is an experienced Optometrist currently working at Daybell & Choo. She holds a first-class BSc Honours degree from Umist and has been dedicated to her profession for over 20 years. 

Anna's approach to patient care revolves around a patient-centred model, emphasising excellent communication and teamwork. She has a special interest in Myopia Management, involving the prescription and monitoring of special glasses lenses, soft daily contact lenses, and overnight Orthokeratology. 

Anna actively practises contact lens fitting and provides aftercare for all types of lens products. She believes that the highest standard of care should be accessible to everyone, offering advanced products and utilising enhanced imaging techniques such as Optomap, retinal and anterior OCT, as well as Corneal Topography & Contact Tonometry. Anna takes pride in involving patients in their own eye care and explaining her findings in relation to their symptoms. 

She is committed to maintaining up-to-date safeguarding and DBS certificates and has a strong track record of balancing high-quality patient care with personalised advice and recommendations. 

Anna also has experience in jointly supervising Pre-Reg Optometry students and providing support to junior clinicians post-qualification. In her senior roles, she has delivered clinical training to non-clinical staff, always striving to enhance their engagement in delivering the best possible customer service.
