About VisionCare Development

Vision is the dominant sense in the human species and is the process of deriving meaning from what we see. It is a complex, learned and developed set of functions involving many skills. The ultimate purpose is to arrive at an appropriate motor and/ or cognitive response to any vision input.

VisionCare Development offers a range of services, including:

  • Full Vision Assessments: Comprehensive evaluations covering vision, eye movements, and visual perception, with detailed reports to guide treatment.
  • Amblyopia (Lazy Eye) Treatment: Innovative therapies designed to improve visual pathways.
  • Vision-Based Reading Support: Specialised programmes addressing reading challenges linked to visual processing issues.
  • Dyspraxia and Balance Therapy: Exercises and strategies that support coordination and movement for individuals with developmental coordination disorder.
  • Brain Injury Rehabilitation: Assessment and vision therapy for those recovering from conditions such as mild traumatic brain injury, migraine, or stroke. We also work alongside MDT teams.
  • Hemianopia Assessment: Combined with prism and PELI lens to reduce visual field loss.
  • Visual Perception and Memory Training: Techniques to strengthen visual processing and memory, supporting academic and everyday tasks.
  • Primitive Retained Reflex Integration: Exercises that address retained reflexes, which can affect fine motor skills and ocular muscle control.

VisionCare Development combines expertise with engaging, hands-on activities, enabling individuals to overcome visual barriers and find success across academic, social, and athletic areas of their lives.

Fantastic service in every aspect. Great communication when making appointments, booking follow ups or glasses fitting and accommodating to requirements around my daughter’s education. The tests were made fun and engaging with clear explanations of the process, objectives and results. These explanations were at both child and parent level and demonstrated the depth of knowledge and experience we were benefiting from. I couldn’t recommend highly enough.
