Dr Andrew MacLaren is an accomplished Consultant Neonatologist and Paediatrician dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to newborns, infants, and young children. With an extensive clinical background in child health, he specialises in managing complex conditions affecting vulnerable infants and delivering specialised care to critically ill infants. Dr MacLaren works collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support young patients and provide reassuring guidance to parents throughout their child's care.

In his clinical practice, Dr MacLaren focuses on neonatal intensive care, advanced respiratory support, and the comprehensive care of premature infants. His clinical areas of interest include treating hypoxic respiratory failure in term and near-term infants, managing patent ductus arteriosus, and overseeing tailored enteral feeding protocols for vulnerable babies. Furthermore, Dr MacLaren possesses expertise in difficult airway management and neonatal transport simulation, helping to maintain high standards of patient safety during critical procedures and transfers.

Dr MacLaren completed his medical degree and higher specialist training in Paediatrics, subsequently sub-specialising in Neonatology.
