Dr Andrew D'Silva

Dr Andrew D'Silva is an experienced Consultant Cardiologist who provides comprehensive clinical care across a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions. He possesses specialist expertise in the diagnosis and management of heart failure, inherited heart conditions, and heart muscle diseases. Dedicated to delivering patient-centred and reassuring care, Dr D'Silva works closely with individuals to evaluate cardiac health, manage complex symptoms, and tailor effective treatment plans.

In his clinical practice, Dr D'Silva offers a wide range of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services. His areas of clinical focus include sports cardiology, cardio-oncology, cardiac rehabilitation, and advanced heart failure therapies. He utilises multi-modality cardiovascular imaging techniques, such as cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), cardiac computed tomography (CT), and transthoracic echocardiography, to accurately assess heart structure and function. Additionally, Dr D'Silva conducts cardiopulmonary exercise testing to evaluate cardiovascular performance and functional capacity in patients.

Dr D'Silva completed his medical degree with distinction at Royal Free and University College London Medical School in 2007, alongside a first-class honours Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Medicine. He became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2010 and was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2020 by St George's, University of London, where his research focused on cardiovascular remodelling. Dr D'Silva holds level III accreditation in cardiac MRI and level II accreditation in cardiac CT, and he maintains active professional membership with the Royal College of Physicians.
