Dr Ammara Ghaffar

Dr Ammara Ghaffar is a dedicated Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for women. Specialising in both routine and complex reproductive health matters, she supports patients through every stage of womanhood, from general gynaecological concerns to antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care. Dr Ghaffar is committed to delivering individualised, evidence-based medical care within a compassionate and reassuring environment.

In her clinical practice, Dr Ghaffar maintains a strong focus on ambulatory care, emergency obstetrics, and advanced surgical techniques. Her areas of clinical interest include minimally invasive gynaecological surgery, such as transvaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (vNOTES), as well as hysterectomy, adnexectomy, and general gynaecological management. Beyond direct patient care, she serves as a College Tutor and Simulation Lead for Obstetric emergencies, guiding the professional development of postgraduate doctors and enhancing patient safety standards through structured clinical training.

Dr Ghaffar completed her medical degree before undertaking higher specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She holds full registration on the General Medical Council Specialist Register and maintains membership with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Dr Ghaffar remains actively involved in medical education and clinical research, contributing to peer-reviewed literature on innovative surgical techniques to continuously advance standards of care in women's health.
