About Mr Amit Bhargava
Mr Amit Bhargava is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Nuffield Hospital, Spire Hartswood Hospital, Brentwood, Spire Wellesley Hospital, Southend and Spire London East, Redbridge. He specialises in all aspects of foot and ankle problems. Mr Bhargava has been a consultant for ten years and has in-depth knowledge and skills in his field. His practice involves a large spectrum of foot and ankle surgeries.
His NHS practice mainly involves undertaking referral of complex foot and ankle cases from trusted hospital colleagues. He takes a special interest and has skills in managing cases that have been told that they cannot be made better or those who have had a previously failed surgery. He uses preemptive analgesia and does most Ankle and Subtalar fusion surgeries via keyhole or by using arthroscope thus, most of his work is done as a day case and patients recover in the comfort of their own home, after the surgery.
Mr Bhargava specialist registrar training leading to the award of CCST in Trauma & Orthopaedics from Northern Deanery at Newcastle upon Tyne. During training, he passed the FRCS Ortho exit exam on the first attempt. He regularly took part in running examination related courses to help his junior colleagues and medical students.
Mr Bhargava has two fellowships in foot and ankle surgery, one at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and the second at Heath Hospital in Cardiff. In addition, he completed three years of training in foot surgery as part of his Specialist Registrar training and a further fellowship in complex foot & ankle trauma surgery from Avon Orthopaedic & Trauma Centre in Bristol.
