Dr. Amar Bhavsar

Dr. Amar Bhavsar is a highly skilled Consultant Neurosurgeon who specialises in complex spinal surgery. With a patient-first approach, he is dedicated to providing comprehensive assessment and tailored treatment plans for individuals experiencing a wide range of spinal conditions. Dr. Bhavsar is widely recognised for his clear communication, ensuring that patients feel fully informed, comfortable, and supported throughout their entire treatment journey. His clinical practice focuses on diagnosing and treating conditions such as back pain, neck pain, and degenerative spine disorders, helping patients regain their mobility and improve their quality of life.

In addition to managing common spinal complaints, Dr. Bhavsar possesses specialised expertise in advanced neurosurgical procedures and complex conditions. He offers a variety of interventions, including cervical disc replacement, spinal injections, vertebroplasty, and discography for back pain investigation. His clinical interests also extend to more intricate cases, such as the management of Chiari malformations, spinal tumours (including intradural tumours), and short segment spinal deformities. Furthermore, he is proficient in neuromodulation techniques, including spinal cord stimulation, to help patients manage chronic pain when conservative therapies have not succeeded.

Dr. Bhavsar completed his comprehensive medical education and went on to achieve his Certificate of Completion of Training in Neurosurgery in the West Midlands. He holds an MBBS, a BSc (Hons), and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Surgical Neurology (FRCS Ed (SN)). To further refine his skills, he undertook a highly competitive complex spinal fellowship, where he mastered both the neurosurgical and orthopaedic principles of spinal surgery. Dr. Bhavsar was also awarded the prestigious British Association of Spine Surgeons (BASS) Travelling Fellowship, which included an international observership. He holds a substantive NHS Consultant post and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence.
