Dr Alexandra Blackman

Dr Alexandra Blackman is a Consultant Psychiatrist at The ADHD and Autism Clinic and within the NHS. She completed her medical degree at the Universities of Exeter and Plymouth in 2011, followed by her postgraduate specialist psychiatry training in London. She entered the General Medical Council’s specialist register for forensic psychiatry in 2020 and was appointed as a consultant psychiatrist in the same year. 

Dr Blackman currently practices at the Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and has a specialised interest in ADHD. She has also contributed to research on ADHD within prison populations.

In her clinical practice, Dr Blackman is recognised for her compassionate and approachable demeanour, quickly putting individuals at ease. Notably, as the sole female consultant psychiatrist at The ADHD and Autism Clinic, she is particularly sought after by women who may prefer a female doctor for their comfort and wellbeing.
