I have had a fantastic experience with the mental health services of the lovely Dr Sarkhel. I've undergone psychiatric treatment through therapy sessions and receiving an ADHD diagnosis. Dr Sarkhel was instrumental in ensuring I was comfortable, that I understood everything, and that I was happy and healthy. It was of great benefit to both myself and Dr Sarkhel that I brought along my school report - this helped to relate my symptoms to childhood. I feel lucky to have been diagnosed by such a caring doctor who is evidentially trying to help me as much as he can. The clinic atmosphere was great, very relaxed and a lot of seating. Additionally the location convenience was great being situated in Harley Street. Very clear and informative appointment scheduling and fast email replies. Between the psychiatric expertise of Dr Sarkhel, the treatment effectiveness, and the personalised care, I'm beyond happy with my experience. Thank you!

Dr.Sarkhel helped and supported my wife in recovering from severe anxieties and depression. He was always very friendly and helpful while thoroughly professional and open. At my wife’s request, both she and I jointly attended each session. He would encourage my wife to discuss the challenges she was facing and her progress in addressing them. He would also then ask me for my views on the progress she was making and the challenges she was facing. Mr. Sarkhel was very clear that medication was helpful but my wife needed to regain her confidence and independence. He discussed how she might achieve this in a very encouraging and supporting manner.. On sacral occasions, he also offered advice and help over the telephone outside the planned sessions. He was also very timley in preparing report both for us and our GP.This was an incredible relief at the time. By its very nature, the recovery process has taken time but my wife is regaining her confidence and zest for life. Thank you Dr.Sarkhel for your help and support . We both appreciate it.

You can truly trust Dr Sarkhel. The nature of psychiatric appointments mean you may have to discuss difficult personal topics, during the course of discussing such items I have found Dr Sarkhel to be nothing but empathetic, respectful and incredibly supportive. We have tried something different and working with tricyclic antidepressants, which is something my previous psychiatrist or GP did not explore with me. However Dr Sarkhel always makes it clear the medication is part of the solution but the bigger part is therapy and self help and will also guide you on themes to explore with your therapist. I found his wholesome approach to be incredibly refreshing. On the occasions I have seen Doctor Sarkhel he is always on time and often early when I have arrived early, I really value this, Although he in no way rushes you and is very thorough. If I need to contact Dr Sarkhel, I am able to phone him directly and he usually responds immediately. Not having to go through receptionists and switch boards is very helpful. It is also a contrast to my prior private psychiatrist that wouldn’t respond for days. My final takeaway is that Dr Sarkhel makes you feel listened to and heard and genuinely wants to help you.

This review is to hopefully help like-minded people who are suffering from mental health. For a year and a half, I was in denial of my anxiety and panic disorder until I reached an all-time low. Dr Sarkhel (psychiatrist) diagnosed me with GAD and moderate depression and advised Venlafaxine 35mg for one week, increasing to 75mg thereafter, as well as regular psychologist appointments. Like many, I had put off taking medication for so long, but let me say this... don't expect miracles as you don't wake up on day 1 feeling better. If anything, the first few weeks are extremely difficult, but when you compare week by week, you will notice the lows not as low and for less time, and the highs getting higher as well as longer. During the early stages I often sought reassurance from Dr Sarkhel badgering him outside of appointments via text and phone calls. He was always available and there to provide support and advice which seems to be rare in this field. You really get the sense he cares about his patients and is there with you every step of the way throughout the difficult journey. What was also really helpful was he works in tangent with a psychologist and therefore if your lucky enough to see Jenny this really helps target the anxiety from all angles. I am on week 12 and have gone from being signed off work, unable to exercise, and in fear of going out due to constant catastrophizing, to quite the opposite. Once you're able to admit defeat, have a good psychiatrist, and good people around you, you will be on the right path. I am ever so grateful for Dr Sarkhel and his team and will forever be indebted for giving me back my life.

I have been diagnosed with ADHDand prescribed Elvanse. Prior to starting Elvanse, I had began failing at work; I was struggling to wake up, not performing well and got an informal warning. Since starting Elvanse and with a little bit of coaching from a new interim manager, I have been nominated for an award for my performance and enthusiasm at work. I have found the love I had for the job again and I am all round feeling much happier.
