Dr Alanna Pentlow

Dr Alanna Pentlow is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in conditions affecting the lower limb, foot, and ankle. She is dedicated to delivering patient-centred care, ensuring that individuals suffering from painful or restricting musculoskeletal conditions receive comprehensive and tailored treatment plans. Through her clinical expertise, Dr Pentlow assists patients in managing acute traumatic injuries as well as long-term joint and bone disorders, with the aim of restoring mobility and improving daily quality of life.

Her surgical expertise encompasses a full spectrum of foot and ankle care, treating complex conditions such as foot and ankle arthritis, sports injuries, diabetic foot complications, and foot deformities. In addition to sub-specialist foot and ankle procedures, Dr Pentlow provides management for broader orthopaedic trauma and lower limb joint disorders, including primary hip replacement surgery. She maintains a supportive and clear approach to patient communication throughout each stage of diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

Dr Pentlow graduated in medicine from Newcastle University in 2004. Following her initial medical qualifications, she completed specialist orthopaedic higher surgical training on the Bristol rotation. To further develop her sub-specialty skills, she undertook fellowship training in complex foot and ankle surgery at a specialist tertiary orthopaedic centre. She is fully registered with the General Medical Council and holds entry on the Specialist Register for Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery.
