Dr Ajenthan Surendranathan

Dr Ajenthan Surendranathan is a highly regarded Consultant Neurologist with extensive clinical expertise in diagnosing, managing, and treating complex neurological conditions. He offers comprehensive care for patients presenting with a wide array of central nervous system disorders, focusing on patient-centred evaluations and clear, supportive communication. His clinical scope encompasses acute neurology, movement disorders, cognitive impairment, and neurodegenerative conditions, ensuring that individuals receive thorough assessment and tailored care pathways.

Dr Surendranathan completed his primary medical qualifications at Barts and The London School of Medicine in 2003, graduating with Honours, alongside an intercalated Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from University College London. He completed postgraduate neurology training across major regional centres and was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Neurosciences from the University of Cambridge in 2019, where his research focused on neuroinflammation and cognitive impairment in Lewy body dementia and Parkinsonism. He holds a Certificate of Completion of Training in Neurology, the Neurology Specialty Certificate, and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians. He maintains active professional memberships with the Association of British Neurologists, the American Academy of Neurology, and the Expert Witness Institute. Dr Surendranathan is also uniquely dual-qualified as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales (non-practising), having completed his legal education at BPP Law School.
