Dr Adrian Li

Dr Adrian Li is a dedicated Consultant Endocrinologist and Consultant Physician who specialises in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and General Internal Medicine. Serving as a Clinical Lead in his field, Dr Li provides comprehensive, evidence-based care for patients experiencing a broad spectrum of metabolic, hormonal, and systemic health conditions. He works closely alongside multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure patient care is holistic, structured, and tailored to individual requirements.

Dr Li possesses extensive clinical expertise in managing complex type 1 and type 2 diabetes, diabetic foot complications, and general endocrine disorders. His key clinical interests include establishing pioneering clinical pathways for rapid glycaemic optimisation in oncology patients requiring urgent scans or cancer treatment, as well as pre-operative assessment pathways to optimise blood glucose control prior to surgery. Additionally, he manages specialised clinics dedicated to reducing emergency hospital admissions and offering structured post-discharge follow-up. His endocrine practice encompasses the evaluation and management of thyroid diseases, adrenal conditions, pituitary disorders, parathyroid imbalances, endocrine nodules, and obesity.

Dr Li completed his undergraduate medical degree at University College London in 2012, graduating with distinctions in medical and clinical sciences. He subsequently undertook higher specialist training in Diabetes, Endocrinology, and General Internal Medicine within the South London deanery, achieving his specialty qualification in 2022. He is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians and is fully accredited on the Specialist Register.
