The overall experience was good but first time going for the procedure they didn’t instruct me with prep so couldn’t go ahead
All the staff involved in looking after me both pre and post operation went out of their way to ensure my comfort. The level of professionalism and friendliness was very welcome at such an anxious time and all the nurses were more than happy to explain what they were doing, why I needed each drug and what would happen next. Even the cleaning staff were polite and friendly! The food was good and the staff were happy to keep me stocked up with tea during my 2 night stay there. My only negative experience was being woken in the early hours of the morning to be given the next round of drugs, but that was the nature of my treatment. I'm very happy with my experience at The Welligton.
The nursing care was variable. One nurse named Mary was quite wonderful. Gentle, caring and anticipated what was needed. One Australian was rough, slipshod, and gave the feeling of couldn't care less. The Hospital was well run and efficient. The physiotherapists were excellent. Meals not bad but some of the raw materials could have been better quality - i.e. tasteless iceberg lettuce, poor quality bread and cheap apples.
The whole team, especially the nurses, and physio’s, who spent most time with me, were wonderful. Kind, caring, and attentive. My pain was managed at all times. Despite not being allowed visitors due to Covid, I never felt alone. Very grateful for the wonderful care I received.
I was welcomed at the Wellington during Covid. They made me feel at ease. Staff get on with each other. They are helpful and dealt with all my requests and concerns. I hate being hospitalised and unfortunately have had quite a few serious operations and this was a perfect experience. I would definitely go back and I did review the staff in hospital and only want to reiterate that staff on the ward, physios etc were lovely and competent, friendly and helpful.
I was made to do a flow rate test twice and on both occasions no recording was registered. On the first occasion the nurse had incorrectly placed the funnel on so that there was a large gap which led to a leakage. The second time the nurse had said she received no recording even after she had told me that it was all set up and ready to go. I was also made to wait an hour and a half on the day of my cystoscopy appointment as the nurse informed me that there were technical difficulties with the cystoscope so they have had to order another one.
Very good hospital. Lovely staff. Overall professional. I felt very safe, especially in Corona times.
I have been a patient at the Wellington hospital many, many times over nearly 3 decades and I have found the staff and facilities to be excellent until last year when I did feel that some aspects had deteriorated. On most of my visits last year I was given meagre rooms with poor outlook even though I was going to be in hospital for a few days and there were empty better rooms. I found the care of lesser quality than previously with nurses changing everyday, no continuity, and most having little interest in helping me - I had to ask for help to keep myself clean and changed for example. There was great deterioration in the quality of food and very poor choices for food intolerance replacements.
Cannot fault any of the staff - they were very attentive and catered to my every need.
Excellent facility with friendly staff
The Wellington Hospital is a convenient location in Central London but what makes the hospital a special place is the service provided by Mr Dorward. I was there because that's where he operates and that was the main reason for me being there. The hospital is clean and modern but could do with some improvements in customer experience.
Brilliant service and very clean
The hospital was very nice but like everywhere Covid restrictions make things a bit weird. The coffee shop was closed!!
Excellent on all counts, efficient staff and clean hospital
The overall experience was great, the staff were obviously following Covid guidelines, so had to take the necessary precautions, hence had to keep their distance. The hospital is efficiently run with friendly faces, some of which I had seen 2 years previously. Overall the staff were very responsive to any requests. The menu for food is extensive by hospital standards, so enough choice and variety. I won't be booking a 'staycation' in the Wellington, but certainly felt it was a safe place to have an operation.
In all my visits, I have found the staff and facilities at the Wellington Hospital to be courteous and knowledgable
`i had an online consultation with Dr Glass but there did not seem to be anyway for not choosing a hospital. I know the Wellington to be a very good hospital and so answered accordingly
All staff showed great customer service.
I had to wait a long time. Not particular care taken about covid protection.
The hospitaland the team are excellent in every respect, although if you want a healthy diet, the food needs bringing into the 21st Century.
Mostly efficient. Nursing was ok but so many different staff involved every shift. Sometimes needed reminders from me. Discharge process slow.
