What can I say about Dr Hunter other than that he helped make my life worth living again. I have stage 4/ severe endometriosis and it had infiltrated my bowel and caused 2 large Endometrioma’s to form on my ovaries. I was in extreme pain almost every day of my life for about 8 months. From initially meeting Dr Hunter and all throughout my waiting and surgical period - he has been everything I could have asked for in a doctor and surgeon for this awful disease. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable on the matter and takes it as seriously as it should be, but he has been empathetic, proactive and he explains everything in a detail that helps bring peace and understanding around this illness and its treatment. I am so grateful for his and Dr McAdams work and how they continue to advocate for women with Endometriosis. I know I can fully trust Dr Hunter with my continued care, both with my endometriosis and fertility in the future at Optifema.

I am deeply thankful that Dr David Hunter was my surgeon. I was fortunate to find him through a second opinion, after his name was recommended by his peers as the right person to handle my complex case. From the beginning, it was clear he brought not only surgical expertise but genuine care for patient outcomes. Dr Hunter is the gynaecological surgeon I wish I had for my first endometriosis excision. Thankfully, he was the one to carry out my final hysterectomy and endometriosis resection — a more extensive surgery with more complications based on my imaging — and I could not have been in better hands. Even on Day 1 post-op, I felt reassured by his calm, safety-focused approach. By Day 2, I could already tell that he is a skilled and precise surgeon. His focus is always on what matters most: long-term outcomes, recovery, and the patient’s overall wellbeing.
