The embolization procedure was a much preferred option for me than a more intrusive hysterectomy. It was quick, minimum discomfort and amazingly effective, in that the considerable reduction in my very heavy periods was virtually instant. I would go as far as to say it was life-changing and I have never looked back. The procedure not only saw me through until after the menopause, when my periods would stop anyway, but now 15 years down the line, still the fibroids remain ‘shrunk’ and not causing me any issues. I am pleased with the results under Mr Rathod’s care. My first meeting with him in November 2023 was very optimistic. He gave me a plan which was completed in just 4 months. This includes MRI scan, Christmas holiday break, open myomectomy surgery on January and follow-up consultations on February. I have no complaints and would definitely recommend.
