Mr Culpan is brilliant, from the moment we stepped into his office he put us as ease with his experience and expertise in his field. the attention to details to make sure I was ready for my surgery was 2nd to none and there was no stone unturned to ensure i had the best experience possible whilst taking care of his personal health and wellbeing. From the first consultation to the surgery through to the follow up has been outstanding.

Mr Atkinson communicates thoroughly everything I needed to know about my surgery and condition, pre admission and post surgery. He is straightforward and to the point when communicating important elements, a trait I like and respect. He is also respectful, charming, humorous and wonderful human being on top of being a cracking surgeon.

Jonathan has replaced both of my hips now and I am delighted with the results, even after just a few weeks. Jonathan is highly professional, knowledgeable and clearly an expert in his field. I saw Mr Abdul Sultan for a pelvic organ prolapse on Tuesday 14th May. I am a 32 year old woman. 7 months post partum. My appointment with another doctor was cancelled at the last minute and I was moved to an appointment with Mr Abdul. My complaints are as follows: 1. He didn’t ask me questions on my background or my reasons for being here but instead made assumptions about my future plans. For example said surgery wouldn’t be an option because they don’t do that until my family is complete. Had he asked me he would have known I had finished my family. Equally said surgery wasn’t an option unless it bothers me every day, again, didn’t ask so didn’t know that it does. He just assumed! 2. He was rude and dismissive/belittling to a nurse in front of me who was only doing her job. 3. Finally he made a very inappropriate comment at the end of the appointment after he had inserted a vaginal pessary and said ‘now do you feel like a 16 year old girl again’ I left that appointment feeling very upset and quite shocked about my experience. I am certain that for any woman having an internal vaginal exam from a male doctor you have never met is a very vulnerable and uncomfortable experience (albeit a necessary one). The minimum expectation is that the doctor would do everything in his power to put you at ease during this experience. Not make you feel ignored or make inappropriate and frankly creepy comments.

A very nice man and very professional. He kept me informed about what was happening , explaining in a clear manner all the steps. What difference to my life since I had the procedure. I cannot thank everyone highly enough at Highfield for their care and dedication

The experience was excellent in every respect. I did think I/we had made a decision to proceed with a hip replacement, instead of other measures described, but now that I have read the Professor`s post-consultation letter, I am not sure a replacement is agreed. For the avoidance of doubt, I DO want to have a hip rplacement, please.

Mr Lewis has provided excellent advice and care since I first met him in 2021. I have nothing but praise for his skill as a surgeon, together with his human touch in explaining matters and discussing surgical options to ensure the best possible result. My resulting surgeries since have transformed my mobility and enabled me to resume my sports as well as removing all associated pain.
