Explained everything perfectly, caring manner

I could not recommend Mr Mokawem enough after the treatment and care he has given me for my scoliosis. Every appointment we had, we are always approached with a reassuring and calm manner, and feeling fully informed on our possible options. We were meant to go ahead with surgery, yet after the Multi-Disciplinary Meeting took place, we were told that in my current position, they should not operate until further investigation had taken place. This just shows how incredible this team is, willing to postpone the surgery as something was not quite adding up. However, after thorough investigation, the surgery went ahead. He always left me choice throughout this process, listing all of the benefits and drawbacks of each stage. I was operated on at the RNOH, and almost every day, Mr Mokawem would come and see me. On around day 3, he came in and asked me if I wanted to stand and go for a short walk. I didn’t as this was one of the days I felt the most sore, but after some time chatting with him, he reassured me and supported me to push myself. I could not be more grateful for Mr Mokawem and his team’s care, and would highly recommend him to anyone! He has been hugely reassuring both to me and my parents.

I had a very bad shoulder injury and after the surgery which was successful, he guided me towards a very long recovery and I am pleased to say that I’m on the right path.

Samantha is friendly, articulate, and I believe an excellent surgeon. I had 100% trust in her ability to carry out the procedure and obtain the best result possible. The follow up attention to detail to advise how it had worked out was also excellent.

Mr Lee is clearly an outstanding spinal surgeon. I'm now at 6 weeks after my two-stage operations in April 2024 (decompression, correction of degenerative scoliosis and L2 to L5 fusion). I'm already much more mobile and independent than I thought I would be. None of the major risks that I feared from spinal surgery happened and the pre-op pains and cramps in my lower back and legs have disappeared. It's early days in my recuperation but, so far, I rate the surgery as a complete success. I cannot praise Mr Lee highly enough.

Very calming presence and clear explanations

Mr Rajiv Bajekal is simply a life saver! I came to him in a wheelchair and I walked out on my legs. I had sciatica for over 8 months and was let down seriously by NHS at the GP’s Surgery that I have been using for over 20years. I am a Nurse/Midwife and a strong advocate of NHS! Within 2 weeks of first consultation with Dr Bajekal, I had it investigated and had the procedure done. My family and I would be forever grateful to Dr Bajekal.
