I had surgery with Dr. Kyriakides for a small pro gastric hernia repair. The Dr. Has been extremely professional and reassuring on each visit and before the treatment. The surgery has been excellent and the scar is not even visible such the good job he has done.

This was the second time being treated for Mr Thomas - each time for completely separate complaints. Exactly like the first time, the care provided was excellent. Each appointment and on the day of surgery, time was taken to explain everything and answer questions that I had. Options were always given to me when possible, and fully explained, and I really felt I was involved in my care throughout. I couldn’t recommend Mr Thomas highly enough.

He said he would take care of him and I trusted him.

All of my questions and concerns were answered fully and allayed completely. I was totally at ease going into the operation and felt no pain whatsoever afterwards despite discovering during the operation that I actually had a double hernia. I am now well on the road to a full recovery. Excellent doctor.

He was able to explain to me just before the surgery what the procedure will entail and how many cuts will be made. He also explained I’ll have some side effects which is quite normal. He has met with me twice following the surgery and took very great care of me. I have had a great experience considering I was so scared that I’ll no longer be living with a gall bladder. I have no side effects and my body has adjusted so well.

He explained the surgery that I required (whipple) in great detail and answered the questions that myself and my Wife had with great care and compassion and really made me feel a lot happier and comfortable as to what I should expect over the coming months. In hospital, the Prof once again demonstrated to me his passion for, just being one of the best at what he does. Everytime he came to see how I was progressing, still in hospital, post op, he listen intently to how I was feeling, not just physically but mentally as well and showed me so much compassion, love and care, even on Christmas morning the Prof came in to see how I was doing, he didn't need to, when many had finished work for the holiday. Mr. Kumar was excellent from first meeting through to post operation. His thorough review of my inguinal hernia area, explanation of the best procedure requirements, operation and recovery time lines, including possible complications, ensured that I had the utmost confidence going forward with the repair. This was further enhanced through a CT scan which enabled Mr. Kumar to fully understand the extend of the repair required and how he would undertake the procedure. Indeed his diligence discovered a second smaller hernia also requiring a repair, as well as other minor issues with kidney cysts and liver. On the day of the operation Mr. Kumar again went through the operation prior to entering theatre, and returned to my bedside post operation to advise on the procedures success. All in all I received the best experience I could have wished for from Mr. Kumar.
