Calm knowledgeable and attentive to my problem.

Was diagnosed with Aortic stenosis, which was picked up in 2008. It was only mild at that stage but in Jan 24 an echo scan showed it had progressed to severe (although no symptoms). Went to see Dr Sen who did various tests, as a result of which he suggested a TAVI aortic valve replacement. In the event this did not happen as he advised that there were unacceptable risks using TAVI due to my aortic valve being slightly different from normal. He recommended having a replacement valve using minimalist surgery done by Roberto Casula (Head of cardiac surgery Hammersmith hospital) who was brilliant. Dr Sen was also absolutely brilliant and explained everything very clearly, and I have now completely recovered. I would highly recommend him.

Dr Stephens saw me after a PFO closure . As a serious recreational runner and cyclist for over 30 years I wanted to return to sport , but was frustrated I still experienced breathlessness and fatigue . An echo stress test presented a diagnosis of ventricular bigeminy which can be managed with medicine Dr Stephens has a wealth of experience and knowledge in sports cardiology and is passionate about helping patients with heart conditions return to sport after cardiac intervention . Dr Stephens reassured me and carefully explained my diagnosis and proposed plan . He is extremely friendly and a leading expert in his field . I highly recommend him .
