Dr. Bazire is a great professional. He shows a lot of empathy and support towards his patients. He was so supportive during the program and after that. With his way of being, he makes you feel comfortable to talk about your struggles and to want to make life changes. I am more than thankful for his support and for the changes that i was able to do.

From the Moment I met Prof Patel at our first consultation, I knew I was in excellent hands. He explained the surgery that I required (whipple) in great detail and answered the questions that myself and my Wife had with great care and compassion and really made me feel a lot happier and comfortable as to what I should expect over the coming months. In hospital, the Prof once again demonstrated to me his passion for, just being one of the best at what he does. Everytime he came to see how I was progressing, still in hospital, post op, he listen intently to how I was feeling, not just physically but mentally as well and showed me so much compassion, love and care, even on Christmas morning the Prof came in to see how I was doing, he didn't need to, when many had finished work for the holiday. The reason I chose Dr Rama was that he worked at a top London NHS hospital, Kings College, as well as doing private work. When I first met him, I found him easy to talk to, informative and I could ask him anything. Straight away I felt confident that he was the right person to do this operation for me. Before you have the operation Dr. Rama put me in touch with a dietitian (Kate Walker). I had two meetings with Kate who gave me a pre-op diet to follow, a post-op diet and six weeks after the operation I could start eating normally again. Two weeks before I had the operation, I was given a pre-op. It was discovered that I had very high blood pressure. I made an appointment with my GP and was put on blood pressure tablets and the anesthetist was informed. By the time I had the operation my blood pressure came down to a safe level. I arrived at Blackheath hospital at 7:00am in the morning and Dr Rama came to see me and went through the procedure. I had the operation at around 11.00am. I started to arouse as soon as I came back to the ward but was very dozy, I slept most of the day. The following morning, I woke up at around 4:00am and with the help of a very nice nurse I got out of bed and went for a walk. To my surprise I felt fine and not in any pain. However, I did have about five little cuts on my stomach which have healed well. After two weeks I felt back to normal. I had the operation on the 6 July 2023 and weighed 16.11 stone. I now weigh 12 stone (15 May) and by the time a year is up I should have lost 6 stone. I feel amazing, I am no longer pre-diabetic and a paramedic at my GP’s surgery is looking into taking me off my blood pressure tablets as I’m now in the normal range. My asthma is much better too. Dr Rama was fantastic, he looked after me so well and I have no hesitation in recommending him. He gave me his mobile telephone number and I know I can contact him anytime, which is very reassuring. I’ve had two follow up appointments with him and was given a blood test to make sure everything was ok. I have not felt this well in a long time, just wish I had this procedure years ago. Thank-you Dr Rama, you have changed my life.

I have had my first consultation with Lorna and was very pleased with the experience. The two words that come to mind are empathy and professionalism. She was very understanding and seemed to genuinely care about my overall health and determining how she could best help me within her scope. She seems very versed in both Ehlers Danlos and the related ailments and illnesses. In fact, it was a stroke of luck that I had my visit with her, as she picked up on the fact that a supplement my digestive doctor had prescribed was doing more harm than good in my particular case; neither my doctor nor I had connected those dots! I particularly like the fact that she combines both a clinical and an integrative/functional perspective and has found a middle ground that is backed by hard science and her own experience. I’m looking forward to continuing my healing journey with her on my team of practitioners.

I have been working with Dr Emily for 10 months now. Her guidance, knowledge, patience and genuine desire to help me have been invaluable. Dr Emily is kind and approachable. No question is ever treated as a silly question and I really appreciate the way she explains things to me. Mr Dixit successfully performed the required operation. He showed great skill in cholecystectomy and knowledge in related issues. Both pre and post-op care was also excellent. Mr Dixit ensured that all information was clearly explained and fully understood at each stage.

I had a successful programme with Tracey and it changed some of my eating habits and enhanced others. I had an additional bonus of weight loss and improved gut health. I also have the knowledge that my overall health is good and how to manage my diet, vitamins and supplements in the future. It has put me in a good position for the coming years.

I had my first appointment with dietician Pooja Dhir who immediately put me at ease when we first spoke. It was a video consultation however Pooja was calm, reassuring, gentle in her probing and engaged. I felt heard. Her follow up notes were comprehensive. It was a particularly stressful time for me and my family and she was truly a light in the dark. We had two follow up appointments and each time she was knowledgeable and friendly - I felt I had made a friend by the time our third session concluded! I cannot thank her enough.
