Ms Lorna Ryan

Lorna Ryan is a Registered Clinical Nutritionist, Nutritional Therapy and Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner, specialising in Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes (EDS) and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD). She has undertaken extensive training and has significant experience in working with Hypermobility and EDS, and is considered an expert in the field internationally.

Lorna is a member of the London Hypermobility Network, part of the internationally recognised Ehlers-Danlos Society Centres and Networks of Excellence programme, committed to delivering expertise in EDS and HSD care as part of a multidisciplinary expert team.

She is the Chair of the Diet and Nutrition Working Group of the International Consortium on EDS and HSD and has been dedicated to improving dietary care for the hypermobility and EDS population through research, education, and public speaking.

Lorna is also the clinical lead and facilitator for EDS ECHO Nutrition 2023 with the Ehlers-Danlos Society's Project ECHO, an international programme she developed as the first clinician training programme on nutrition for HSD and EDS.

In 2018, Lorna established her international and dedicated HSD/EDS clinic to support those living with the many co-morbidities of HSD and EDS. The clinic specialises in managing symptoms related to gastrointestinal manifestations and autonomic involvement.

Lorna’s expertise in EDS stems from her personal experience living with hEDS and its co-morbidities, giving her a deep understanding and strong desire to help others live well with HSD and EDS.
