Very empathic, took time to answer my questions

After a warning from the neurosurgeon & oncologist who had been monitoring the regrowth of my meningioma in September 2023 that it required surgery & as it was a second operation it was at high risk of stroke, bleeding, bone infection, going through old scar tissue, the tumour was pressing against a large vein. My daughter suggested I sought a second opinion, we chose Mr Shoakazemi who also specialises in my type of brain tumour.  He confirmed…the risks were very high indeed, the brain tumour had grown too big for fractionated radiotherapy and surgery through the old wound of some 20 + years ago was the only option. We found Mr Shoakazemi to be extremely approachable, professional, calm, warm & informative.  I feel incredibly lucky to have had the faith on a date said to be the unluckiest day in the yearly calendar …Friday 13th October to undergo surgery with such a gifted neurosurgeon. I am (thankfully to Mr Shoakazemi) walking straight, talking straight & feeling fully blessed.

Mr Lakhani was excellent throughout the process. His communication was clear, regular and he made it clear I could ask him anything on an ad-hoc basis if required, even giving me his whatsapp. I would recommend to anyone.

Mr Akram made me feel at ease and explained in detail the options I have in the future. He answered all my questions and gave me confidence in his skills and ability. .This was followed up by a comprehensive letter from him received quickly after my appointment which confirmed everything I had spoken about.

From the start Professor Malik was professional and knowledgeable. Any questions I had leading up to and after the surgery were answered. On the day of surgery Professor Malik met with me to explain the process before I went in. Surgery was a success and the follow up appointment went smoothly. Excellent surgeon.

Dr Spencer was excellent from start to finish. He made me feel at ease and explained everything along the way. The operation was a success - septoplasty. Highly recommend!

It worked! Mr Kassam is Patience personified… he kindly explained twice (because I find it hard to listen when stressed about my health) all the things I should and should not worry about … I had read his explanation of TMJ from my dentist Who Had studied with him - by coincidence- so I felt I was in the best hands and have come out of the operation with full mobility again- fantastic 😎
