I cannot be more pleased with the result, which has enabled a return to almost normal use of the hand and relieved discomfort in the joint areas. Dupuytrens disease is liable to return because of the nature of the disease and is not a reflection of the expertise of the surgeon but of the physiology of the particular patient. We were able to discuss options and timing of a return, should this be the case.
