Mr Ayoub explained the whole process and subsequent outcome very thoroughly and answered any questions and concerns in detail. The surgery was on both eyes and the treatment was painless and took little time. All in all I felt I was in good hands all through the consultations and surgery and am very happy with the outcome. My rating says it all. I've had glasses for 70 years. Now I can see, and the quality of vision makes me realise that I've been in a "fog" for years. I was very nervous about this operation, but Dr Sherafat goes into details of what may happen - both positive and negative - that I was a little hesitant before the right eye was treated, and then couldn't wait to go for the left. Few medical experiences can be characterised as enjoyable. This one was, because Dr. Sherafat had talked me through the procedure, and in addition provided pages of information relating to the operation. Maybe that's common practice, but I've never experienced it.

I cannot recommend Mr Deshmukh, his colleagues and Moorfields Private Eye Hospital highly enough - the whole experience has been incredible and I am almost unable to believe the outcome - having had months of deteriorating vision while trying to get a proper diagnosis, once I attended Moorfields Private and met Mr Deshmukh I was reassured and confident that a resolution was possible. I had virtually lost the vision in one eye, and had impaired vision in the other, was unable to drive, to read and latterly to use a computer or see the television. Prior to these problems I had worn rigid contact lenses for 48 years. Following replacement lens treatment with EDOF lenses I am now able to see better than since my teenage years - I do not need glasses at all, thanks to Mr Deshmukh.
